We offer payroll and accounting services to our clients in multiple countries. We use our own software platform Portico to deliver these services to clients. As the clients experience our service month after month, they approach us to provide them more services. We recognize that people and their needs are different and so are organizations.
Here are some recent requests that we have received.
‘In our organization, we award points to employees for certain exemplary behavior. We need to display the credit of these points for every employee on the pay slip. Is that possible?’
‘We need to track training hours of every employee. Can we do that using your platform?’
‘Our work and leave policy treats overtime of weekends differently. Can you handle that for us?’
It is easy to say that our standardized platform does none of these tasks. But then we won’t be achieving client satisfaction. Flexibility is one of our core values. We listen to our customer needs and go back to the drawing board. With our platform already deployed for more than 500 customers, it is challenging to extend it without disturbing any of the underlying connections. However, we try and see if we can give a generic solution that will work for all clients. We also try and see if we can give a customizable solution so that when the client needs grow, we would be able to serve them. I am proud to say that in almost all the cases, we are able to serve our client needs.
While I write this, here is another request that has reached my desk ‘Can I see my leave balance on my cell phone?’. I am smiling because I know now I’ll be working on this pretty soon and extending our platform to reach the mobile phone and tabs world!
